Attack the block  1)  The film costed roughly $13 million to make, I think the cost went to mainly the cost of making all of the scenes which is very important in making this film.  2)   Jodie Wittacker also known as actor from doctor who and Broadchurch        John Boyega also known from star wars and pacific rim       Alex Esmail know from payback season and switch       Leeon Jones also know from Jack Ryan and Baywatch       Franz Drameh best known from edge of tomorrow and know is good  3) I think Joe Cornish chose to film the set in South London because it is known as a place where young teens have the stereotype as being the age group that gets in to the most trouble especially in these, perhaps poorer parts, of London. and in a film about age stereotypes it makes it the perfect place to film attack the block. Divergent   In the scene 'welcome to dauntless' In the movie 'Divergent' mise-en-scene (props, costume, hair/make-up, lighting, setting and character expression and movement) is used to create meaning. In this scene the props of the tall sky scrappers gives it the sense of danger and being fearless which is what the faction dauntless is all about. Mise-En-Scene The costume in this scene shows all of the new initiates in there different faction clothing, abnegation-grey, amity-orange/yellow, candor-black/grey, dauntless-black, erudite-navy blue. this shows that some of them are new to this kind of environment and might be nervous because they are doing activities that are completely against what they are comfortable with.   The hair and make-up is all quite similar. It all very natural, so much so it doesn't even look like are wearing any make-up. all there hair is blowing from the wind which also is a way in representing how high up there are again s
