 Location Recces: The location I would have filmed my coarse work in would have been in a wood during the day with no one around. I chose this location because I wanted my coarse work to have a creepy and eerie feel to it and I thought that a deserted wood would have been the best place to achieve this.     Character Profile: The character would be a woman wearing all white running through the woods away from something that the woman and audience cannot see. She then runs into someone who is wearing all black with a hood(we don't see there face). they then take off the hood to reveal there identity, but instead of being another character its the same actor who is wearing white but they are wearing black symbolising the negative thoughts of the teenager. at first the teenager wearing white is afraid and confused but then she faces up to her negative thoughts and overcomes them. the whole opening scene symbolises that you have to face up to your fears and thoughts an...

  Horror   A Quit Place Opening Scene  We learn that the characters cant make noises for some unknown reason which makes it more creepy and build suspense.  We are introduced to the first 5 characters who we can assume will be the main characters  in the film and whatever disruption of the equilibrium will happen its going to effect them the most. The setting is a deserted shop and road with a path of sand on which is not normal for the audience therefore making it more creepy. Also a bridge were there son gets killed by the unknown monster that the audience meet for the first time.  The look/style/aesthetic is very old and rustic in the story opening. Apply narrative theory to the opening scenes of Attack The Block and Slumdog Millionaire Attack The Block In the opening scene of ATB it includes the theory by Claude Levi-Strauss of binary opposites. He believes that all narratives have to be driven forward by a conflict that was caused by a series of opposing forces, e.g. a hero and a villain, until finally a sort of balance between them, or a resolution is achieved.
